Part 1 of the"Positive Communication" course (The" Pedagogy" Part) includes:
- Understanding essential principles of positive communication
- Reflecting on your own experience and understanding of these principles
- Considering how a teacher can use these principles to improve teaching and learning
- Conducting research to analyze how a school (or other organization) can use principles of positive communication to improve teaching and learning, with a focus on leadership, teachers or learners
- Writing an academic essay to share both research findings and personal reflection

STEP SEVEN:
Complete an individual academic essay
Research/Learn/Reflect/Articulate - How to Apply Principles of "Positive/Productive Communication in Educational Settings" to the Educational Context of Your Choice
- Choose a topic from the assignment guidelines or your own interests/experience
- Conduct initial research using journal articles, library books, online search and A.I. tools
- Write a complete draft to organize your research according to the outline in the assignment guidelines
- Attend the mandatory writing workshop lesson on Tuesday, 21 October at 3:30 p.m.
- Attend an optional writing consultation with Tim between 22 October and 5 November for feedback on your essay draft
- Submit your final individual essay draft to Moodle (Turn-it-in) on or before the deadline
to complete the assignment preparation survey
before midnight on Friday, 3rd October 2025
